While I would love to tell you that I joined Scentsy because I was obsessed with the products, the culture, and the opportunities - I cant. In fact, I have a little bit of a confession. I joined Scentsy without ever having tried the products. Shh...don't tell anyone...it'll be our little secret.
Picture this, March 2012, my friend brings home a bag full of these little tiny things that look like lipgloss. Having no clue what they are, but me being me (and secretly hoping they were, in fact, lipgloss), I have to get my hands on them! Well, you can imagine my disappointment when I discovered they weren't lipgloss. Nope, they sure weren't...they were something way better! What she had brought home was a bag full of Scentsy testers. I grabbed the bag and secluded myself in my bedroom. I think I smelled every tester at least 2 or 3 times. What was probably several hours later, I emerged from my room, amazed at what I had experienced. So many scents...and with that, so many memories. Who knew that scent could unlock a time capsule of memories?! Memories of being a kid at my grandma's house when she'd bake an apple pie, being at the park just before a thunderstorm, or ordering my first piña colada. I knew at that moment that I didn't just want that experience that for myself. I had to share it with as many people as I possibly could. So...I did it. I took out my card, signed up to be a consultant, and a week later, my starter kit arrived.
Here we are, 9 years later, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I have met some of the most amazing people because of this business. I have been able to take some of the best trips because of this business. Scentsy has truly changed my life. The culture is beautiful, and the core values of Scentsy really speak to me.
